TRILLION's self titled debut album was released on Epic Records in 1978 and now re-mastered and re-released in 2010.
TRILLION's second album, titled Clear Approach, was released on the Epic label
in 1979 - re-mastered and re-released in 2009.
The tours
included 52 cities.
TRILLION opened for or shared the bill with Heart, Styx,
TOTO,
Ian Hunter, Jeff Beck, The Starship, Rick Derringer
and many other
great acts.
Since the 80's
break up the band members went in different directions
doing many different
projects and on different labels.
In
2007, 3 of the original members of TRILLION, Bill, Thom and Frank,
felt that the
band's legacy had been cut short far before exploring its full potential,
and that there was much more uniquely compelling music to come from this combination
of slightly eccentric and adventerous players!
Thom Griffin, Frank
Barbalace, and Bill Wilkins recruited CJ Vanston on keyboards to begin
collaborating
on a couple of the new tunes. CJ has currently performed on both Golden Sun Beyond and In My Blood
Pat Leonard has also played on Golden Sun Beyond which has made the project that much more unique and a first for these two great musicians playing on the same tune together.
With the addition of Bryan Mitchell - producer
/ engineer at Medical Records Studio, Chicago the chemistry and timing is there
once again.
This is a long, overdue reuniting of some
great collaboration that made TRILLION what it was and still is..
The new song selections, Golden Sun Beyond and In My Blood are 6 minute long pieces that evolved within the studio retaining the originality of TRILLION's sound and style with an updated approach and execution. Adding to the Trillion 3 Project is the killer Dave LaRue from the Dixie Dregs on Bass Guitar.
The licensed and re-mastered Clear Approach record by Jon Astley of the UK has been
re-released by the Rock Candy Record Company in the UK and here in the US by Trillion.
Here
in the US, there is a limited quantity of the re-mastered Clear Approach CDs
available for $25.00 US including shipping.
These CDs contain a 10 page booklet including
interview snippets and band photos.
An added bonus track, 'You Clown' was
the B side of a promotional EPIC Record's 45 single which also makes this CD package
a one of a kind masterpiece of its time.
The Trillion Debut album has now been re-released. Jon Astley re-mastered the debut record and the package was designed by Rock Candy Records UK. The CDs can be ordered through this site. There is a limited quantity so make sure that you place your order early.
